Brow Lamination & Tint

WHAT IS A BROW LAMINATION

Eyebrow lamination is the latest beauty secret that will thicken and enhance your natural brows. Similar to the idea of a lash lift, brow lamination involves the application of a setting lotion that gives the brow hair a semi-permanent “brushed up” and lifted look. Whether you have thin, thick, or over plucked eyebrows, brow laminating is the perfect solution to give you the everyday look you want, without effort.

WHY CAN’T I GET MY BROWS WET AFTER A LAMINATION?

Similar to a lash lift, keeping your brows dry in the 24 hours following your lamination treatment is very important. During the lamination process, we use an assortment of creams as well as a permanent gel to relax and shape your brows. If you get your eyebrows wet too soon after we finish applying these products, your brows do not have a chance to set with their new shape.

HOW LONG DOES A BROW LAMINATION LAST?

A brow lamination will last about 6 weeks (again, depending on aftercare). Be sure to follow the “Don’ts” mentioned above in the first 24 hours following your treatment for longevity. In the 48 hours following your treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or a castor oil to your brows daily. We also recommend brushing your brows in an upright/styled position anytime following a shower (or after getting your brows wet) to help keep their new shape.

Will a brow lamination damage your natural eyebrows?

A brow lift will not damage your natural brows if applied correctly. The lifting

solutions when applied are specifically timed for your hair type and consistency. Additionally, the brows receive a deep conditioning treatment that will add nutrients which will strengthen them.

If I am pregnant can I have a brow lamination?

Brow lift is safe for pregnant or breast feeding women. However due to the change in hormones, pregnant clients may experience a less lift than usual. The results vary. If you are uncertain consult with your physician.

aftercare

  • Avoid getting the brow area wet for 24 hours

  • Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours

  • Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours

  • Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment

  • Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint (unless you’re after khaki coloured brows)

  • Your stylist will apply some make up at the end of your treatment, however you should avoid applying any further heavy make up (foundations, etc) on the area around the brow for 24 hours

  • Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last for 6-8 weeks.

To really enhance laminated brows and maintain that freshly laminated look right up to your next appointment, an ultra-strong eyebrow gel like Brow Glue is a must have.
