Lash Lift & Tint FAQ
What is a Lash Lift?
It's a lifting technique designed to give you longer-looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, only this lift lasts for 6 to 8 weeks! To top off the treatment, I'll apply a black lash tint which really makes your lashes look more prominent. The procedure takes about 45 to 60 mins to complete. It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area!
Is this like lash extension where they will look dramatically thicker?
Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 totally different animals. I will not be adding any additional lashes to you. I will simply be curling your natural lashes. That said, for most, it can make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted.
Can I still wear mascara?
Of course! You'll just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes.
How long does the effect last?
Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks.
HOW LONG WILL THE LASH LIFT APPOINTMENT TAKE?
About 40 - 50 minutes depends on how long and coarse the eyelashes are and if your lashes will be tinted.
What are the post treatment instructions?
Pretty simple: Don't get your lashes wet or apply mascara at all to them for 24 hours. Steer clear of waterproof mascara the entire life of your Lift. Brush out the lashes daily.
Aftercare
1-2 Days Following Appointment
For the first 24 hours following your appointment keep your lashes dry. Your eyelashes are still flexible for the first couple of days after your treatment so avoiding moisture is critical to keeping the curl. This means no steamy showers, or saunas for at least 24 hours (including cooking over a steaming stove top).
Sleep on your back! Since your lashes are still shape shifting, sleeping on your side or putting pressure on your lashes can leave the them misshaped.
3 Days Following Appointment
Use an oil-free mascara and an oil free makeup remover. After about two to three days following your lash lift treatment, you can wear mascara. However, since your eyes will still be sensitive we recommend using an oil-free mascara. Oil can cause the lashes to drop prematurely so we recommend avoiding makeup in the first few days after your lash lift if possible.
